As a nurse you will need knowledge about related professions.
Nursing education is based on academic disciplines in health with nursing science, health science, natural science, humanities and social science.
During the education you are required to hand in a number of written assignments.
In the subject of nursing you will learn how to observe symptoms and situations, use your professional skills to evaluate your observations, plan the course of nursing, and perform and argue for (rationalize) your actions.
You will deal with basic nursing care such as feeding, measuring of the pulse and blood pressure, giving injections, bed bathing, skin and oral care. You will also work with communication and nursing theories, ethics and topics related to value judgments. During the entire nursing education the focus will be on care to people of all ages and in all kinds of life situations.
In order to fulfil your professional and personal skills as a nurse, you will also deal with topics in management, research, information technology, prevention, and quality.
